I have been wearing my hair in a bun for the past couple of days. I had no idea of how long these yarn braids were going to take me. Although it looks like they are finished, I still have a large patch in the middle of my HEAD!!! I have worked on these for a total of 15 hours.

I am still moisturizing my hair every day & night. The yarn can be drying to your hair if you don’t do so. My scalp tends to itch a lot when I put my hair in any kind of braids, so to stop that I put some warm water in a small spray bottle and add Some drops of Tea Tree, Rosemary & Lavender essential oils in it. Spray it on my scalp and massage it in. I love the tingling feeling it gives and plus the EOs are very good for your scalp!!! Today I may try the Peppermint EO. What I’m using to moisturize my hair and the yarn is Alikay Naturals Lemon Grass Leave In Conditioner. It is best to use a spray leave in or oil based leave in compared to a cream based leave in. This is so you won’t cause so much build-up or residue in your braids.

I am hoping to be completely finished with my hair by Thursday, crossing fingers!!!

I am loving the way it looks so far.
